June 14th can’t get here fast enough. The second trailer for Man of Steel shows what happens when humanity “suffers the consequences” for sheltering Superman. It opens slowly with a threat from Zod, then progressively edits the shots shorter and shorter with a progressively larger number of explosions. It’s like seeing a bunch of Man Of Steel GIFs back to back. I know because I’ve done that. Twice.

We’ve featured art by illustrator Kiersten Essenpreis here many times, specifically her funny, pop culture works from numerous Gallery 1988 art shows. We also appreciate her for creating the best Halloween costume based on 1988′s They Live. Now Kiersten Essenpreis is showing a series at Gallery 1988 East in which she illustrates what her favorite movie and TV characters are doing on their days off.

Yesterday we did a roundup of X-Men: Days of Future Past pictures tweeted by director Bryan Singer. Inevitably, ten minutes after I recommend someone’s Twitter, I’m not online while they’re either posting nudity (awesome) or some tacky rape joke (aaa, no, why!?). Fortunately, Singer posted some sweet Jennifer Lawrence nudity, and we can totally still be friends. What I mean to say is, JENNIFER LAWRENCE NAKED TOPLESS NUDE HELLO GOOGLE SEARCHERS. (Hey, it worked last time.)

The newest trailer for The Wolverine just dropped. Between this and the picture above tweeted by director James Mangold, it appears they listened to our very reasonable suggestion to rename the Wolverine sequel Wolverine 1: This Is The First One, There Weren’t Any Others Seriously (And Hugh Jackman Is Shirtless For 90 Minutes).

Last summer Michael Fassbender signed with Ubisoft to star in and co-produce an Assassin’s Creed movie with sequels in mind. Ubisoft wanted Fassbender to play Altair, and they quickly penned a deal with New Regency to finance the film and distribute through 20th Century Fox. Now a release date for this Assassin’s Creed movie has been announced: May 22nd, 2015. That’s Memorial Day weekend.

Bryan Singer has been tweeting several pictures of castmembers in X-Men: Days of Future Past such as the picture above of Peter Dinklage. He’s starring as “the main antagonist” who hasn’t been named yet but we have our theories. We referenced these tweets when we posted some extra casual pictures of Hugh Jackman on set of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but we haven’t collected these tweeted photos in one place. It’s time to rectify that.

The series seven finale of Doctor Who aired this weekend. We’ll refrain from spoiling it, but there’s an excellent recap here. And though we won’t be getting more Doctor Who until the 50th anniversary special airs November 23rd, we have some good news.
