While everyone is freaking out about the casting news for Batman vs. Superman, Jesse Eisenberg is unleashing his underlying creepiness upon the world in The Double, which hits theaters on April 4. Directed by Richard Ayoade, The Double is not to be confused with the hilariously bad 2011 spy film of the same name starring Richard Gere, and is instead a chilling comedic take on the Dostoyevsky novel, starring Eisenberg as Simon and James, or the updated version of Yakov Golyadkin and his doppelganger.
In this new “2 Snakes” teaser trailer for The Double, we get to watch as the doppelganger slowly takes over the antisocial loser’s life, as they apparently spend all of their time stalking Mia Wasikowska. There are worse ways to go through a mental breakdown, I guess.
