FLASH FILM FINALLY GETS DIRECTOR?

Wow, remember when Marvel movies had all the big news and DC seemed to have forgotten they should be making movies? Well, suddenly we’re hearing tons of DC movie news: from Christopher Nolan helping out with the next Superman film, to David Goyer and Jonah Nolan (of Batman Begins and Dark Knight fame) will be writing that same superflick.

Iesb is reporting the latest DC movie film news – that DC is in talks to finally lock in a director for the long-awaited Flash film. The top contender is apparently Greg Berlanti – who co-wrote the upcoming Green Lantern film and was briefly supposed to direct it too. (It turns out Martin Campbell, who directed Casino Royale, will be directing Lantern.)

Berlanti was a writer on Dawson’s Creek and a creator on Everwood and Jack & Bobby…neither of which we actually watched. But, at this point, it’s just good to hear that they haven’t given up on The Flash, even if they still haven’t locked in a director. Now, if only they could just remember their Justice League film.
