The Super Bowl ad for Last Airbender, M. Night Shyamalanabanafofanna’s adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, has leaked online. UGO has the exclusive:
Airbender fans will do backflips to see images of the iceberg, achieving Avatar State, waterbending, earthbending and firebending, and of the Fire Nation Navy in battle. (Sharp eyes might even catch a glimpse of Gran Gran!) Newcomers will groove on seeing a kick-ass little kid (Aang) defeating his foes with just a staff and air. [UGO]
Appa the Sky Bison is also in this trailer. Pause at 9 seconds and look in the top left corner. OMG OMG whatever. I shot, like, sixty thousand of those damn things when I was heroically travelling the Oregon trail. I’ve seen things, man.

How can anyone stomach seeing the crowd of water tribe WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTERS have been made WHITE instead of Inuit. And they totally prove they’re purposefully whitewashing as most of the other water tribe members, besides the main characters, still attempt to retain diversity. Sickening!
This looks pretty darn cool. My 8-year old loves the animated series; fortunately this won’t resemble the drama the ensued when I told her I was not going to see Dwayne Johnson as the Tooth Fairy.
