ChatRoulette is a site where the magic happens two strangers are connected randomly to chat, which is similar to Omegle, but ChatRoulette also allows webcam chatting. Since it opened last November, pranksters have been using ManyCam freeware (with the logo manually turned off) to make fake or pre-recorded webcam streams. Then they flood the site with crazy, pornographic, or otherwise awful content and take screencaps of the victim’s reaction shot. For some examples, check out the lists at Buzzfeed (NSFW) or Knowyourmeme (NSFW). Most of these are lame or just gross, but occasionally some brilliance comes out of it, like the guy who decided to make Kermit go wild.
