Will Wright (creator of SimCity, The Sims, and Spore) has teamed up with Albie Hecht (former president of Spike TV and Nickelodeon) to create a TV show for the
obsessive compulsive hoarding disorder, pregnant teenagers competitively baking novelty cakes, or over-breeding weirdos who fight against whaling, which means Current is 500% more educational than The Learning Channel.
Wright’s new show, for the moment titled The Creation Project, will have a completely viewer generated plot. Users will be able to craft plots and storyboards using something called the StoryMaker Engine, designed by Wright for computers and mobile devices. Viewers will vote for their favorites, and the winner will be developed into two half hour episodes. [Geekosystem]
I have an idea for an episode. A guy wakes up and it takes him 30 minutes to get out of bed and walk to the toilet 15 feet away. Then he doesn’t flush the toilet without somebody else telling him to, and then he walks out the back door and goes all the way around the house to get to his kitchen. He pulls a pop tart out of the fridge (where people keep their pop tarts) and bakes it in the oven, like ya do. Then he loses his job when the carpool waiting outside leaves because it took him 75 minutes to pee and eat a pop tart. And instead of The Creation Project, they could call it What The Hell Am I Doing With My Life?

Current TV has a few REALLY good shows. I recommend SuperNews and Infomania. SuperNews has a really great take on social media and politics. They have clips all over YouTube and I have several of my friends now addicted to it.
