Mark Millar has confirmed that there will be both a comic and movie sequel to Kick-Ass…and the comic version will be coming out in Millar’s new British comic magazine, CLiNT. Yep, Millar’s creating a lad-mag-style comic mag with Titan Magazines featuring comics written by British comedians Jonathan Ross and Frankie Boyle, which will also feature Kick-Ass Volume 2: Balls To The Wall. We’re betting Kick-Ass 2 will be anthologized in a multi-part series…and will also presumably include balls.
(Oh, and why call the magazine CLiNT? Well, it was a name that they tried to avoid printing in classic comics as, in all caps, it tended to smear together to form…another word that got a lot of press for Kick-Ass.)
Now, there’s no word on when Kick-Ass 2 would hit America, as CLiNT will be targeted solely towards Brits, but with a second movie on the way, it’s be ridiculous to not try to squeeze some money out of the US market. We’re betting there’ll at least a trade somewhere down the road, especially since the movie will start production in 2011.

This makes me so happy.
Seriously? It tanked at the Box Office.
Tanked? It made almost $100 Million worldwide. It cost $30 Million to make, that’s almost a $70 Million dollar profit. Nowhere near “tank” when it comes to the studio. When you profit from a film, that’s always good. Not to mention they haven’t even had DVD sales yet.
And another thing, MARVEL had “KICK-ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL” on their September solicitations a couple weeks ago. Can’t wait until September!
