It’s a great day for The Hobbit news (also a great day for smoking the Halflings’ Leaf). Neill Blomkamp may be stepping in to direct after Guillermo del Toro’s exit, and German website HDRF posted the first set pics of the Shire. The article is titled “Hobbithöhlen in voller Pracht” which roughly (but not too roughly) translates as “Hobbit Holes in Full Glory“.
I’m just going to let that sink in for a minute.
*dips feather in inkwell and writes three pages of Samwise and Frodo slash fiction, sips solemnly from a brandy snifter and ponders if life has been worth living, titles the story “Hobbit Holes in Full Glory” and comes to the conclusion that yes, it absolutely has.*
And we’re back.
Seven more set photos after the jump:

You lost me at Hobbit Glory Hole.
I call bullshit. Why would they build a set for a movie whose script isnt even greenlit?
Waddya mean “not green lit”? The script was green lit last year, but they have been fighting over rights and a proper director.
