Game Gear Repurposed As Portable N64

It’s been a long-standing tradition in the mod community to either reduce the size of consoles (Ben Heck can cram a PS3 into an iPod, we’re pretty sure) or cram one console into another’s casing, but this is the first time we’ve come across somebody using a Game Gear for, well, anything. In this case, it’s a portable N64, complete with all the useless yellow buttons that really should have been an analog stick, but we guess the Gamecube needed SOMETHING to get right.

The Game Gear, for those who weren’t around in the early ’90s, was Sega’s response to the Game Boy; color screen, TV tuner, all sorts of stuff. Nintendo won that console war, and this is pretty much just the final indignity. Video of the charming little mutant freak after the jump:
