"Gantz" Comes To Live Action, Has Confusing Trailer

So, this is what I get from the Gantz trailer, partially because I have no grasp of the Japanese language beyond what you need to pick up a…ah…soda.

There are these two guys. Something happens to them, I’m assuming either some sort of traumatic event or maybe just sexual self-discovery, and they realize they like to dress up in fetish gear. The fetish gear comes with guns and a gigantic black ball that is either a vehicle or a robot (I’m guessing; this is Japan). There’s a retard in a crash helmet who has blue light explode out of his mouth that they have to kill, maybe because he’s anti-fetish or something. There are also some crazy people they’re somehow tied to that they have to kill, mostly because they’re homicidal maniacs. Finally, his girlfriend is unhappy because he’s running around with another dude in tight-fitting black leather all day, which seems perfectly reasonable to me.

OK, so according to Wikipedia, I got that totally wrong, but aside from making no sense unless you’ve read the manga and know Japanese, this movie does actually look like a lot of fun. Make your own Dadaist interpretation of the trailer under the jump.
