A lot more of this. A lot less of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
No surprises here. A couple weeks ago we reported Mark Millar had started writing a sequel to Old Man Logan but hadn’t yet pitched it to Marvel. I won’t rewrite the spoiler-filled synopsis to the first series, but I’ll sum it up thusly: sh*t gets real with an elderly Wolverine.
It was a foregone conclusion that Marvel was going to accept Millar’s pitch; now BleedingCool reports that they have. Millar posted this email exchange between himself and editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics Joe Quesada:

My dear Joe,
You know that Old Man Logan sequel I’ve had in my head since last year? The one I was swearing I was going to write? Well, I was flying home from a wee break last night and I mapped out about half of it. Very excited about it and would love to get going on it towards the end of the year.
You game?

Mmmm…. quesadillas.
If it weren’t for the ridiculous amount of “tweaking” they’ve done to Wolverine’s powers over the years, making him pretty much immortal at this point, no one would even care about him. He’s such a flat character, boring, and really one of the weakest of the X-men, as long as you remember that originally, he wasn’t “heal up a missile blast” over powered.
Okuma makes a valid point, but I’ll counter with WOLVERINE IS F*CKING AWESOME.
The horse seems to have more personality.
Okuma I’d hardly say that Wolverine’s flat and boring, he’s pretty much the most popular Xman, why the eff would this be if he was so damn boring. i’ll tell you whose boring, that cyclops and all his one eyed drama.
What about that Professor? I mean, he doesn’t even walk!!
Wolverine drinks heavily, constantly nails women, has a healing factor that protects him from alcohol poisoning and STD’s. To top it off, he has an unbreakable skeleton and claws in each arm. To top it off some more, he has no qualms about killing you. All of these traits equal, and I quote, “F*CKING AWESOME.”
Also, ‘Old Man Logan’ was baaaadass.
