Needs more scarves and fixies.
Gamervision, the same folks behind the Inglourious Plummers trailer, have reimagined the God of War video game as a twee indie flick full of Wes Anderson movie style cinematography and Garden State references. It reminds me of Wes Anderson’s Spider-Man but is somehow even more hipstery.
Josh Henderson stars as Kratos, an orphan teen who just transferred to Spartan Academy. There he meets Athena (Zane Bauer), an alluring rebel with parental issues herself. The two hit it off almost immediately, and find they share much more in common than they originally thought when Kratos is introduced to Athena’s father Zeus (Michael Sadorf), the same father who abandoned Kratos at an early age. Determined to reconnect with his son after more than a decade of absence, Zeus forbids Kratos from seeing Athena, yet the star-crossed lovers find themselves inexplicably attracted to one another, despite the newfound revelation of their relation. [Gamervision]
Then Zeus and Kratos fight with lightningboltsabers and Kratos loses a hand and Zeus is all like “I am your father” and Kratos just shrugs and is all like aloof about it and sh*t ’cause this is an indie film. Roll credits. Andrew Bird song. Make more money off the soundtrack than the DVD.
[Thanks to Watanabex for the video.]

You have to be nerdy enough to know God of War games and nerdy enough to know Wes Anderson movies to think this is funny. I think its hilarious.
even the song if perfect for this video, makes me wish this movie was real
Wow!
I would happily pay $10 to see this. Can someone mail this to him? I don’t care if he directs by phone.
Could someone tell me the name of the song playing? It’s good stuff.
And nice spoof. Bullseye.
Music:
