The World’s Largest Skateboard is 12.5 scale and awesomely dangerous. It’s 3′ 7.5″ tall, 8′ 8″ wide, and 36′ 7″ long. Bus-sized, basically. And now there’s footage of it wiping out, which, let’s be honest, is the best reason to build a giant skateboard (yes, dawg, even better than riding a skateboard on a skateboard).
Normally The World’s Largest Skateboard is ridden by several people at one time, but recently California Skateparks CEO Joe Ciaglia decided to take it a for solo ride [Ed.- video below] while visiting Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania. [LaughingSquid]
Don’t worry. No fourteen-year-old boys suffered traumatic testicular injuries. This time. But Joe did learn a valuable lesson about jumping from moving vehicles: get behind the back wheels of a giant skateboard before jumping off. Dude almost became street pizza under those wheels. So all of you readers keep that in mind next time you’re riding the giant skateboard you totally own. These are important things you need to know to survive in today’s fast-paced economy.

But dawg, it wouldn’t be better than a dog riding a skateboard on a skateboard!
This is true.
“It’s 3′ 7.5″ tall, 8′ 8″ wide, and 36′ 7″ long.”
I honestly can not freaking believe the US is still using feet and inches. The majority of people in the world have no idea what you’re talking about. Burma, Liberia and the US are the only people who haven’t adopted the metric system. 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard, 5 280 feet in a mile. What craziness.
Nickjaa: Actually we passed the legislation to adopt the metric system back in the 1970′s, (Metric Conversion Act of 1975) but everyone hated it and the government had bigger things to worry about in the 70′s than weights and measurements so our road signs are still in miles per hour.
