New Oregon Trail Game, Now Even Less Educational

All games should award points for the number of Conestoga wagon flips.

UPDATE: The older, PC version of this game is free to download but you can’t shoot anything in it.

The worst part about Oregon Trail was when the educational stuff would pop up on the screen and you’d mash the space bar to get back to the fordin’ and the killin’.  Okay, actually, the worst part about Oregon Trail was when you’d have to rest for five days because Poopface McButt got a snake bite again.  Damn it, McButt, stay out the bushes.

Anyway, both those horrible facets of the game appear to be gone now, thanks to “So Long, Oregon,” a real game for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad.  In the game, which costs two dollars, you use mountains as ramps to do wicked stunts while shooting animals mid-air.  In real life, we do the same thing.
