I don’t watch the Spike channel and mainly it’s because their programming sucks, but it also has to do with the fact that I don’t read Maxim magazine either. Regardless, every year they host the Scream Awards, an event celebrating the best in fantasy, sci-fi, comics and horror, and this year they’re trying especially hard to make people notice.
Piggybacking on the excitement of the upcoming Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy on Blu-ray, Spike got a hold of Michael J. Fox to film a shot-for-shot promo of the original BTTF teaser trailer from theaters. I hate to admit it, but well played, Spike channel, well played. You are a skilled angler and I’ll bite your hook.
After the hump jump, thanks to the all mighty Youtube Doubler, we’ve got a side-by-side comparison of both versions, for you. Take a gander, unless of course you’re running on Windows 7 right now, in which case attempting to run duel YouTube videos, simultaneously, will make your monitor ignite in flames.

p.s. Can I just reiterate the fact that the YouTube Doubler is blowing my mind out of my skull right now? Cool, thanks.
Special thanks to boingboing for the tip.

I think he should have done a shot-by-shot remake of Awakenings.
