Panasonic is re-entering the gaming console business, and although not much is known about the device yet (unhelpful video after the jump), they have said their mission is to “create an ecosystem around online gaming”.
Bust a nugget of truth all over me, CrunchGear:
Almost 15 years after their 3DO gaming console (remember that?) suffered an early death, Panasonic is dipping their toes back into the gaming waters with the launch of a new Online Gaming-focused business segment called Panasonic Cloud Entertainment (or, as they call it, PCENT, which is an acronym I don’t think anyone on the product naming team tried reading aloud), with plans to launch at least one device — tentatively known as “The Jungle”.
So what else can we expect from this new pee-scented, er, PCENT business? Along with a “The Jungle” console, there’s going to be a weekly online show made by Machinima and the console will play Battlestar Galactica Online, a not-yet-released browser-based MMO. So far, no other games besides BSG: Online have been announced. I’m ambivalent about the whole thing. Sorry, Panasonic. If I wanted a PCENTed ecosystem I could visit any sidewalk in New York City.

Makes sense. Every time I game online, I hear “I wanna watch you bleed”
