Live-action Bubblegum Crisis Movie Will Please Both Fans

Hey, remember the 90′s Anime series Bubblegum Crisis? Yeah, we vaguely do, too – it’s about some women detectives in armor suits…right?

Well, if you’re one of the two or three fans who still care about this property, you’ll be excited to hear it’s getting a live-action movie directed by Anthony LaMolinara, who’s directed the animation sequences in such films in Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Hollow Man. (He also worked as animator on Toy Story and Stuart Little.)

It’ll be titled Knight Sabers (that’s what the group of women was called, probably) and according to Anime News Network, it was originally slated to have an early 2012 release date, but that’s been changed. So, no word on when this adaptation of a property people barely remember will be getting out to the people who really don’t care if they see it or not.
