These days, it’s pretty damn seldom that I report on Nintendo’s original Super Mario Bros. title, mainly because, well, that game came out 26 years ago. But leave it to Cinemassacre correspondent Motherf***er Mike to provide us all good reason to rehash the past. After numerous attempts and cans of Jolt Cola Mike has finally proven, on camera, that it is possible for Mario to leap over the level flag on world 1-1. Woah, there is no spoon, I know.
For the Italian plumbing brothers, reaching the end of a level and jumping over the world flag isn’t anything new, but up until now, this feat was only ever achieved on world 3-3, thanks in part to a helpfully placed platform. According to Motherf***er Mike, the world 1-1 Mario glitch is one hundred and ten percent real -performed on an actual console, without the aid of an emulator. Up until now, the world 1-1 flagpole jump was only the stuff of legends. I believe the Vikings used to talk about it all the time.
Slightly NSFW video after the jump because Mario goes ATM with a turtleshell, but only because Motherf***er Mike introduces himself at the beginning of the clip.

Thank God, we can finally close this chapter.
*loads original Nintendo down cannon, aims directly into brick wall*
Waiting 30 seconds through a commercial for a clip I only barely want to see is too much. And then you just run and run and run? Eat the peanuts out of my shit, motherfucker. Mike.
apparently he jumps the six flags over Texas.
This is almost as gay as liking SNL.
It’s endless. Like his douchebaggary.
This was a really cool trick. Been wanting to see something like that for a long time. I hope this guy does more game tip videos.
@Chodin: +1. I don’t think anyone realized just how fucking horrible and buggy that console was.
BTW, if he called it a “turtle” one more time, I was gonna find his house and burn it.
Old news. This was discovered back in the 80′s. I think some gaming magazines even had this listed along with the how-to on getting into the negative levels, making mario moonwalk, and other glitches in SMB. Motherfucker is just trying to take credit for something that apparently isn’t widely covered on the internet.
