A lot of guys died on that Death Star, or in the case of Boba Fett, in the belly of the sarlacc where he learned a new definition of pain and suffering as he was slowly digested over a thousand years. Unless you read the novels, where he somehow lives, but that always seemed to me like a revisionist history to capitalize on a popular figure.
I like each one of these images for a different reason.
Dead Stormtrooper: So many Stormtroopers got killed in those movies, they’re basically faceless meat sacks to be filled with bullets. The skull is a nice head nod to their humanity.
Boba Fett: The last shot of “Empire” should have been the sarlacc spitting up that helmet with a skull in it so Boba could rest in peace.
The Rebel Fighter: I like to imagine this is Dack “Right now I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself!” Ralter. Hubris killed you Dack.
Lord Vader: This is a nice tribute to how skull-like the eyes were on Vader’s mask already.

Is this a trap or something? Fett fell into the Sarlacc in Jedi, not Empire.
I hate myself for this.
Congratulations, The Other Matt! You just passed the Nerd Test!
Passing the Nerd Test ~= Failing at life
The entire reason I posted was to tell the author the Empire/Jedi mistake. Then I noticed someone else noticed to and I felt relieved. I’m concerned that I felt relieved.
Fett doesn’t die when he falls into the pit. I’m a huge closet Star Wars nerd.
