If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Whatever happened to Haley Joel Osment, that little creepy kid from The Sixth Sense?” (and we’re betting you haven’t) the answer is that he dropped out of movie acting to focus on college, golf and voicing video games. But now, he’s back to live action acting and set to play the role of Victor Frankenstein…kinda.
Variety is reporting that Osment has signed on to appear in the adaptation of Steve Niles’ graphic novel, Wake the Dead. Osment will play Victor Franklin, a modern-day college student who experiments with raising the dead, like you’d expect. The film’ll be directed by directed by Jay Russell (Ladder 49, Tuck Everlasting) and produced by Slash (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver) through his production company Slasher Films.
So, we’re finally going to get that Haley Joel Osment/Slash dream project we’ve all been waiting years for. Here’s hoping it’s worth it.
