We’ve kind of got to wonder why Warner Brothers is keeping its pet comics nerd around at this point. He got thrown off “The Dark Knight”; rumor is his “Superman” script is getting heavily rewritten; and his own film career consists of bombs nobody liked. The guy’s basically been living off of “Blade” for more than ten years now.
Still, he’s getting yet another chance, this time with “100 Bullets.” The good news is that he’s just the executive producer and will write a few scripts, which will leave room for other writers. It’s also going to Showtime, which has some serious franchise envy with HBO, so it might actually last more than a season.
But if there’s some chick who listens to her iPod relentlessly and the best lines go to Ryan Reynolds, I’m out.

Wasn’t he a screenwriter on “The Dark Knight” & “Batman Begins”
Yes, he CO-WROTE the scripts. Seitz, FUCK. YOU. David Goyer is a great writer. I honestly hope you get fired.
I get the feeling Goyer is good at coming up with ideas and stories, but when it comes to actually writing a script he blows it, which is why he only “cowrote” the best two films on his resume. Hope he focuses on the executive producer part of his job more than the script writing.
“Me” -How can you call the guy who wrote “The Unborn” “Jumper” “Nick Fury: Agent of SHILED” “Blade Trinity” and a bunch of crappy Puppet Master sequels a “great writer”? He COWROTE 2 good Batman scripts (which, unless you have an exact breakdown of what he specifically wrote, doesn’t mean a whole lot) and one good Blade movie. And he’s signed on to write the next Ghost Rider movie, which means HE THINKS ANOTHER GHOST RIDER MOVIE IS A GOOD IDEA. Fuck David Goyer, I honestly hope he gets fired.
He can’t really ruin 100 Bullets, since 100 Bullets was always kind of crappy to begin with.
He’s a great plotter, good at hammering out the basics. But that’s not really a skill. Writers are SUPPOSED to be good at plotting.
But his specifics SUCK. Everybody knows who runs the show in the Nolanverse and it’s Nolan. Goyer needs to stick to producing.
