“Star Wars Gangsta Rap” was one of the first viral videos I ever saw and one of my earliest memories from the Internet. I remember needing to show it to as many people as I possibly could for years. Since then, “Star Wars” parodies have always held a special place in my heart. I can see from these videos’ view counts that I’m not alone.
“Star Wars” parodies were made almost as soon as the film was released. “Hardware Wars,” made in 1977 on a budget of $8,000 by Ernie Fosselius went on to win 15 short film awards. Since then there has been an almost endless stream of parodies, from high production movies like “Space Balls” and “Blue Harvest” to long running indie web series like “Chad Vadar.” There is even an annual contest for “Star Wars” parody films presided over by George Lucas himself.
I’ve selected my favorite parodies and some of the classics to get this going, but anyone can submit a video from YouTube, Vimeo or Tinypic. Please add your favorites if you notice they’re missing.

TROOPS. Definately, TROOPS.
All of my favorites have been mentioned, except one that i can’t seem to find any more: Sperm Wars, with Sperms (x-wings) attacking an Egg (the death star) and spermicides (tie fighters) trying to prevent this.
