Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson to you, true believers) is a lucky, lucky guy. Starting with a small part in “Iron Man”, he’s grown steadily in prominence until he was a major player in “Thor”. And now, apparently, he’s getting his own short film, to be tagged onto the “Thor” Blu-Ray: “The Consultant”.
The clip is interesting for two reasons: one, it’s funny as all hell (seriously, it’s a hoot, largely because it’s shot and scored like an espionage thriller), and two, they’re pretty obviously talking about General Ross and definitely talking about the Abomination. So, if you were wondering what they were going to do with that particular plot thread, now you know. As for who the Consultant is…somebody who works with SHIELD, would annoy the crap out of Thunderbolt Ross, and is an arrogant, preening jackass? Either it’s Iron Man or they heavily rewrote Leonard Samson.
Although the nerd in me would be remiss if I didn’t point out whoever transferred this screwed up the volume big time. Yeah, bring the dialogue down in the mix, it’s not important or anything. Turn up your speakers and check out the clip below:

It’s pretty clear that it’s Tony Stark, being that they said he would be brought on board as a consultant for the Avenger Initiative.
Definitely Tony Stark, as it’s a reference to the post-credits scene from The Incredible Hulk.
You’re all wrong. They’re OBVIOUSLY talking about D-Man.
I don’t know that it’s Stark, though. Yeah, they call him a “consultant”, and he certainly fits, but I feel like Marvel wouldn’t spend a bunch of money and time on what amounts to an “Iron Man” short film and stick it on a Thor DVD. Also, why would they call him “The Consultant”? He’s “Stark” to them.
Clint Barton?
