Awhile back we posted some viral videos for a Back to the Future themed ad campaign Christopher Lloyd did for electronics store Garbarino in Angentina. Now we have the full ads to gaze at and despair. These made me yell, “Great Scott!” except I meant it as in George C. Scott, specifically the scene in Hardcore where he’s screaming, “Turn it off! Turn it off!” Because these ads just did to my childhood what those men on the screen were doing to George C. Scott’s daughter.
True story: back in 1985, years before Christopher Lloyd did this ad campaign, a crazy, wild-eyed old man who claimed to be a scientist accosted Christopher Lloyd’s father in his driveway and shouted, “It’s your kid! Something’s got to be done about your kid!” Unfortunately, the senior Lloyd did not get in the magical flying Delorean, so now we have him to thank for these videos:

for some reason these videos don’t bother me. I find them kind of cute. But then again, I will take more doc brown in any form I can get. I love Lloyd’s live action segments as doc brown at the end of each episode of the “Back to the future” animated T.V. Show.
Though I do wish the company had sprang for a better looking wig for Lloyd.
