So hey, the new season of Game of Thrones starts this Sunday! Sarcastic midgets, eyebrow girl’s boobs and more spurting horse jugulars than you ever imagined you’d see on TV — it’s all coming back!
But did you know they’re also making a Game of Thrones RPG? It’s true! It’s coming out in May, and in a bit of good timing publisher Atlus just released the most in-depth trailer for the game yet. Check it out after the jump…
Hmmm, I dunno — looks okay-ish. Not enough horse decapitations. Apparently the storyline is actually official Game of Thrones canon though, so I’m sure there’s going to be more than a few hardcore fans who play through it just for that.
Personally I think it’s unfortunate Atlus is just the publisher of this game, and not the developer. I’d love to see Game of Thrones transplanted into a Japanese high school with a half-demon clone of Hitler replacing Joffrey or something.

I see PC listed at the bottom. Might be worth my time.
Is it me or have textures and engines improved little in online games since the days of Everquest? Probably just me.
A friend and I logged back into EQ last summer just for kicks and the graphics are so unbearably bad I just couldn’t do it. So I’d say things have definitely improved. I’m not an expert but I’d imagine online games are tougher to make with really impressive graphics because the amount of data that has to get sent back and forth. You also want to be able to hit a wide audience and if the sys reqs are too high you cut out potential customers.
I believe this game is browser based though. And for a free to play browser based game I thought it looked pretty good.
Meh.
