Cobie Smulders is the actual name of a human being. She’s playing S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill in Marvel’s The Avengers, and she went on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last night to debut the second clip released from the film (first clip here). The clip features her character and Nick Fury talking about the Tesseract while not fighting aliens (Zzzzzzzzzz). That clip’s below, and we also have an Avengers-themed Dr. Pepper ad starring Stan Lee.
The videos are pretty weak, but they give me an excuse to post the picture above. I just wanted you to be aware it exists. And now you are. My work here is done.

Well, it’s not a real name of a human being.
Meanwhile Jack Kirby’s heirs are planning on attending the premiere, that is if the local theater still has matinee prices.
Funny if it weren’t so sad.
I second that – it’s such a pathetic reality that an artist has two choices – either give away their creation to some blood sucker, or never seeing their work printed/put to film.
But on the other hand, we have a douchemaster like Lucas who kept his intellectual property since day one, and then turn it into complete shit. Maybe if someone else owned it, it would have gone a different direction. The same goes for Star Trek. Rottenberry was too interested in squeezing every dime out of his property and not telling good stories. The first season of TNG was a disaster because of him. Only when they got it away from him, it started to get good.
About the only thing that will not be CGI in this movie are her breasts.
