No surprises yesterday: “Threshold” destroyed “Warlord” and made it to the Sulfurous Sixteen. And now DS9 gets in on the action with two of its worst episodes.
“Let He Who Is Without Sin”
One of Star Trek’s painful attempts at romantic comedy, and yet another damn Risa episode. Can we just hit the thing with the Genesis Device and never hear about it again?
“Valiant”
Let’s pack an entire battleship full of Wesley Crushers and give them the keys. What could possibly go horribly wrong? Made worse by Jake smugly telling the other kids what they’re doing is wrong…and he survives.

Without Sin. Worf as an right-wing fundamental activist?
*shudders*
I think someone should take on the task of watching all of these episodes on Netflix as the bracket progresses, and comment on them Dick Vitale-style.
BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOT ME.
BTW, Without Sin.
I have actually been watching all of these. I used to love “Star Trek”…
Without Sin. At least Valiant had good action scenes with the defacto-Defiant. Would have been better if more than just the main characters had survived, though…
I’m going to go with Valiant on this one just because the thought of a Defiant-Class ship full of Wesley Crushers is both an accurate and terrifying statement.
Without Sin. I second Erswi’s comment.
Valiant. Just stupid.
Valiant, and I have been waiting a long time to say this…
Calling these guys a “ship full of Wesley Crusher” is an insult to Wesley Crusher. Say what you want about Wesley but at least he isn’t a bunch of dumbasses like the Cadets. War breaks out, the real officers are killed and they decide to pull a Rambo by staying behind enemy lines. I’m surprised one cadet didn’t go, “Um, guys. I think Starfleet needs as many ships as they can get.”
Plus when they find the Dominon’s ship’s Achillies’ Heel, the smart thing is to NOT take it out because then the bad guy’s will know of the weakness and fix it. If they think they have the best ship ever, they will build their entire fleet of the Best Ships Ever. Picture this…

…and multiply it by a 10,000. Pack your bags, boys. War’s over!!!
Without Sin. Fundamentalism beats Lord of the Flies every day.
Even though Dax is in a bikini I have to go with Let He Who Is Without Sin, I enjoyed the Valiant episode for what it was, plus I love seeing cocky jackasses get what they deserve.
It was a one piece iirc. A two piece may just have saved that episode. Let He Who is Without Sin is my choice, for being terrible and for making Worf be the buzzkill because is pretty stupid. I understand he’s supposed to be the honor side of the coin for Klingons but sometimes (like this episode) it just gets out of hand is painful to watch.
Sin is the sin. Have heart, CATSPAW is near.
Without Sin takes this easily just for faking-out a Worf heel turn for no good reason.
Valiant at least gave us a moment of catharsis by killing off all those wannabe Wesleys. I had been waiting for that since the squad’s introduction in season three. Something about how cadets are portrayed in Star Trek makes you want to see them all die screaming.
Without Sin; as much as Valiant annoys me, and find it hard to believe an Ensign wouldn’t outrank a Cadet with a battlefield commission, I might still watch it again for the battle scenes. I can never watch Without Sin again and be a happy man.
