Oh man. Oh man, we are deeply torn about this. On the one hand, it’s for a licensed tie-in video game to “The Amazing Spider-Man”, and we all know how good those types of games generally are.
On the other hand, this is a special mission arc where you actually play as Stan Lee. Apparently, he’s providing voicework and everything. And they promise a “special surprise” at the end of the arc. We’re guessing it’s something about Spidey’s 50th, or maybe the final boss fight is between you and Steve Ditko or something.
This is an exclusive Amazon preorder, if you were wondering. But this might just be worth it.

I that a screenshot of Stan Lee or the new XBox Live Arcade game staring George H. Bush?
Lee. A G.H. Bush game just wouldn’t be prudent.
I might give a sh*t if it were Steve Ditko or John Romita or Jack Kirby swinging around, but I just can’t bring myself to care anymore, at all, about anything having to do with The Man. Not only is he a glory hog, and not only does he buy his own bullsh*t, but the man is creatively bankrupt/creatively retarded. The Adventures of Sonic has more complexity and depth than anything he’s come up with or “written” in the last twenty years. Seriously. If I have to hear him blather on one more time about how his characters were better than the DC characters of the day because his were “based in science,” I’m going to totally lose it.
*END RANT*
If it’s Spider-Man 2 style web slinging with Stan Lee, I’m so in. If it’s every other Spider-Man game, I shan’t be bothered. Which is the trick of making Stan Lee pre-order. FIENDS!
