So, here’s the deal: I’ve got a $10 Gift Card to Amazon, and there’s nothing on the release schedule next week you, gentle readers, have been clamoring that I try and review.
Let’s change that, shall we?
I’ve got a PS3 and a PC that can handle most gaming, so let’s put it to a vote: tell me what new game you’d like to see reviewed that came out in May or will be coming out by June 11th (“Lollipop Chainsaw” streets on the 12th). Seriously, any game. Here’s a fairly up-to-date release schedule to pore over.
While we’re at it, if there are any future games you want us to review, drop a note here: “Dishonored” and “Hitman: Absolution” are on our radar, but we’d like more feedback beyond just the obvious hits.

have you played Pac Man Championship Edition: DX yet?
It’s an entertaining game, for sure, but didn’t it come out almost 2 years ago?
Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land
Whats your PC situation, Dan?
It’s a fairly stock Acer tower. I’m not going to be grinding out any teraflops with it, but if it can run on Steam, I can play it.
Inversion looks like it might have some interesting gameplay, what with manipulating gravity and objects in a co-op third person shooter, futuristic setting.
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock just came out on PSN today. How about that?
Game of thrones game.
GOT the RPG: Really great story and writing… totally buried under bad textures, worse character models, mediocre combat, and a deadly stupid interface.
Yeah, it is just…. stay away. It’s like it traveled forward in time from 2005.
I’ll probably never get around to Alan Wake’s American Nightmare on PC, but I may hold off on selling my 360 if it’s anywhere close to as fun as the first game. As far as PS3 sequels, I’ve been waiting for someone who has played Risen 2: Dark Waters to let me know how it has grown and whether it was for better or worse.
I am very interested in hearing about The Sims 3: Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats and Cat Frenzy for the DS.
But seriously folks, the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary set looks totally insane. And I would def be interested in your thoughts on the upcoming Mass Effect 3 “Sorry about that shitty ending” DLC.
Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World. Just started playing them and everyone else should know how awesome they are.
Dragon’s Dogma… Skyrim wannabe? Better sequel to Dragon Age then Dragon Age II? Does it have Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as cockless angels?
“Dragon’s Dogma” is in the pipe, actually, I’ll have a review of it tomorrow.
My little bro cant stop playing Dragons Dogma, he said its everything he wished Dragon Age coulda been. I’ve been too busy with Ghost Recon but I’m gonna have a marathon session tomorrow on my day off.
It looks great, I love the combat, and I especially love the whole game logic behind it too. In Skyrim for example (and so many many other rpg’s are guilty of this as well), when you encounter a creature or beast in the game world thats bigger than you like a Mammoth, you would hack away at its ankle until it died presumably from either blood loss or embarrassment.
In Dogma a crucial part of the combat is the grab mechanic, where instead, you’re able to climb up onto the beast and try to stab it in a vital area like its neck or eye. Or lets say there’s a giant Chimera trying to eat your party. Instead of chopping uselessly at its foot with your sword, you have to climb on (and hold on while it thrashes) and try and kill its Snake-tail, which makes the goat head vulnerable, which lets you kill the lion part, which is the end of that creature and its threat.
Seriously good innovative stuff going on in there, give it a shot.
And dude… If I had actually been able to climb up onto a dragon and fuck it up like a boss I woulda been way happier with Skyrim.
Hey Dragon-born, do you ever actually get to ride a freaking dragon? Nope that was basically a loading screen.
I’ve been playing it. The moment I fell in love with it was the moment a pawn asked me if I wanted to be thrown at a griffin. HELL YES I DO.
