So, Disney’s giving video games the Toy Story treatment with Wreck-It Ralph, the tale of an old-school video game villain who tries to give up the bad guy life. Nice idea, although hopefully the humor doesn’t just boil down to “hey, there’s a video game character you know, and there’s one and there’s another one!”
Speaking of which, hit the jump for a trailer that totally has Bowser, Q-Bert, Zangief and all sorts of other dudes you may recognize from electronic games in it!
Looks good, but I remain cautious because despite looking very Pixar-ey, this isn’t actually a Pixar movie. Also, Disney, you didn’t have to have John C. Reilly introduce the trailer — I’m a fan of his oeuvre, but I don’t think he’s a big selling point for most 6-year-olds.

Come see my movie, ya drangus!
I would totally see this if John C. Reilly either said “bumbercycle” -or- shouted “Fakin!” in falsetto.
This is probably going to be the first Disney movie I see in theaters since being a small child.
I really miss when animated films used actual voice actors…as good as this looks so many of those lines are delivered flatly by character actors who don’t actually understand emoting through only their voice.
