The sword battle between Jaime Lannister and Eddard Stark in Season 1 Episode 5 of Game of Thrones was awesome. But you know what would make it more awesome? Freaking lightsabers. (This is usually the case, but not always.) The first video below was made by JOEL935M as his first attempt at rotoscoping in After Effects, complete with Star Wars sound effects. Lannister and Stark’s swords have been replaced with lightsabers. Let’s see if anyone notices.
The second video was made (with JOEL935M’s approval) by RJ4989, and it adds part of John Williams’ score from Revenge of the Sith to match the scene. Excellent work. Now splice in a clip of Joffrey watching from the sidelines as Jaime Lannister turns to him and says, “I am your father.” Then Joffrey screams, “No,” as he’s being hit in the face with manure and falls to his death. And then we find the body, set it on fire, and launch it over The Wall with a catapult just to be sure.
