The Amazing Spider-Man Is Getting At Least Three Movies And Six Villains

The Amazing Spider-Man made 35-million on its opening day (the best Tuesday opening ever) and will likely end up raking in 120 – 140 million by Sunday, so, surprise surprise, we’re getting an Amazing Spider-Man trilogy! Or, at least that’s the word from the movie’s Facebook page, which referred to The Amazing Spider-Man as “the first installment in a movie trilogy” for the first time a couple days ago.

So, who’s Spidey going to be facing off against in this trilogy? Well, Spider-Man producers Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad seem to be high on the idea of using the Sinister Six. For those not aware, the classic Sinister Six line-up is Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and Sandman. It’s an interesting mix of villains that have already been done, and ones that have yet to get some screen time.

Also, let’s not forget that the upcoming Venom movie will be crossing over with the Amazing Spider-Man movies in some way. Oh, and who was that dude in the prison cell? Hmmm!

I dunno, sounds like more villains than a mere three movies can handle — I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up seeing four or five Amazing Spider-Man movies. Andrew Garfield is going to be one helluva old looking teenager by the end of all this.
