Peter Jackson finished principal photography on both Hobbit films last week, so we have new posters to show off. The first one below is the poster which will be given out at Comic-Con. The other is a “scroll” poster which combines ten memorable scenes from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which opens this December 14th. The second movie, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, opens December 13th, 2013.
The scroll includes the scene where Bilbo finds his way through Gollum’s cavern by using the light from his sword,
Gordon Sumner Sting. There’s the scene with the Wargs howling while Bilbo hides in a tree. There’s even a candid photo of Ian McKellen talking to a bear who wandered onto set. Okay, maybe it’s the scene of Gandalf talking to man-bear -pig Beorn. But I’d like to believe Ian McKellen hangs out with forest creatures.
