Hey, remember a couple months back when we used to post something about Prometheus pretty much every day? Those were good times. But now the movie’s out, the world’s moved on and there’s nothing more to post about! Or is there? That’s right, time to start the Prometheus 2 posts!
So, given what happens at the end of Prometheus, it seems likely a sequel was always planned, but yesterday it was made official. Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender have both re-signed, and the movie is set to come out in 2014, or possibly 2015. Interestingly Hollywood Blockbuster writing robot Damon Lindelof is not attached to the sequel, and reportedly Fox is looking for a new screenwriter to replace him. Good — Prometheus’ Achilles heel was definitely its rather scattered script.
Sigh. I know this is way too early, but I’m already starting to feel the hype for the further adventures of Noomi and her friend Michael Fassbender’s head.

Poor Damon Lindelof. That guy has talent, but it seems that without someone working with him that’s going to help him focus his ideas, he can tend to get really scatterbrained with his screenwriting.
I’m already bracing for the scene in which Assbender teaches Noomi how to repair him, and I’m praying it’s set to “Walking on Sunshine”.

If you fade out, it seem like more time

The only way I will enjoy this movie is if it’s some sort of Red Dwarf / Lexx hybrid where they travel the universe, land on crazy planets and go on wacky adventures.
