So, James Cameron wants to make four Avatar movies, because he won’t be satisfied until he has the top-five grossing movies of all time I guess. That’s a lot of Avatar. I mean, there was a direct-to-video Fern Gully 2 he could maybe split into a couple sequels, but what’s he going to do for the fourth movie? Prequel time!
“I have an idea for a fourth. I haven’t really put pen to paper on it, but basically it goes back to the early expeditions of Pandora, and kind of what went wrong with the humans and the Na’vi and what that was like to be an explorer and living in that world.”
Hmmm, great. Avatar. Whatever. I’m much more interested in James Cameron’s loooong in development Battle Angel Alita project, because Battle Angle Alita is f–king awesome. According to producer Jon Landau the Battle Angel movie is still very much in the works, and may come out sometime around 2017. That’s a long wait, but I have hope Cameron won’t be able to resist the lure of sexy robot fighting forever.

Probably. Maybe he’ll be out of magical genie wishes after the 2nd Avatar movie, but it’s definitely going to make insane amounts of money.
I’ve never once found myself wondering about the backstory to Avatar. They better keep ramping up the FX.
Oh, Cameron, just make a whole trilogy of prequels and get it out of your system.
Until you re-release the remastered originals, of course. And then remake the originals with even better CGI.
I think I see what his game is. Since Avatar’s storyline was just a rip off of a bunch of other movie storylines, the prequel will be a rip off of the first Avatar. By ripping off a rip off with another rip off, James Camerson plans on creating a Ouroboros of a franchise that will probably cause Hollywood to collapse in on itself due to sheer mindfuckery and also probably awaken Chuthulu in the process.
But yeah, I really wish he would hurry up and make Battle Angel.
How long has he been teasing a goddamn Battle Angel movie now? It’s gotta be like 10 years or so.
I wonder how many Avatar fans will kill themselves this time? Can we hope the answer is all of them?

My goodness its been so long since he first started talking about a Gunnm Movie and I know the special effects will awesome but I fear what he’ll do with the Story. His Pocahontas in blue should have stayed on paper.
