As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan of the Dead Space games and am looking forward to Dead Space 3, which actually makes me somewhat of a rarity. Dead Space fans have a lot of issues with Dead Space 3, but the crux of the controversy is the inclusion of co-op multiplayer. A horror game can’t be scary when you’re playing with another person!
I don’t know that I agree with that, but EA finally seems to be getting the message — they’ve just released a new 17-minute Dead Space 3 video and not once during it do they even mention co-op. Hit the jump, watch the video and forget that co-op even exists. Ahhh….
Looks good to me, but I’m sure keener eyes than mine will find numerous reasons to hate it.

Yep, gamers love to bitch about games they haven’t played. That looked very good to me. Those new necromorphs are very scary, especially those casual-walking ones in the generator room. And an axe-wielding one? Zoinks. Yep, I’m looking forward to it. Also, the player in that demo should try using stasis sometime.
