Here are three comics coming out tomorrow that look particularly interesting, ranging from a dark noir to Lance Henriksen’s horror comic, to The Crow skinning Nazis.
The Creep #4

John Arcudi’s noir miniseries started out pretty good but has rapidly become one of the best noirs in comics. Arcudi’s Oxel is an inarticulate, emotionally damaged guy just trying to do the right thing, and stumbling into something far more horrific than he ever thought possible. Arcudi has done a superb job keeping the series grounded and realistic, and Jonathan Case’s art manages to capture the mundanity of much of what Oxel runs into, while emphasizing the horror that much more. It’s worth picking up the whole run; it really is that good.
To Hell You Ride #1

Let’s see here… it’s a comic co-written by Lance Henriksen, about an ancient Indian curse that literally melts the flesh off of its victims. And said flesh-melting is being drawn by Tom Mandrake, one of the single best horror comics artists currently working. Yeah, this is worth three bucks, just for the whole “melting flesh” thing.
The Crow: Skinning The Wolves #1

We’ve talked about this one previously, and we’ll be genuinely curious to see how O’Barr incorporates his revenge fantasy character into one of human history’s darkest moments.
Plus, it’s the Crow killing Nazis, and who doesn’t love a little good old-fashioned Nazi killing?
Here’s the full list: Let us know what’s the one comic you’re looking forward to tomorrow in the comments.

Walking Dead and Clone from Image, Cable and X-Force and Ultimate X-Men from Marvel. Fairly light week.
True story, I just submitted a 16 page essay on Native Americans in comic books (mainly on Scalped), really wish that that Henriksen series debuted a little earlier. Either way, I’ll check it out.
Cool. For a class? It’s an… interesting, if sometimes depressing, subject.
I’m mainly looking forward to The Crow, but I’m liking the current Spider-Man arc so Amazing Spider-man #699.1 should be interesting.
I’m keeping an eye on it, but I’m really only into it for #700.
Spider-Man 699.1, Batman, Batman and Robin. I don’t think there’s much else coming out that I’m looking forward to, but who knows? Maybe something will creep under my radar and surprise me tomorrow.
We’ve got reviews of Batman and Batman and Robin coming tomorrow.
Light week for me, so Superboy #15 for the H’El on Earth crossover and Fantastic Four #2 are my highlights.
Let me know how FF #2 is. I wasn’t a fan of the first issue but I’m hoping the second is better.
from what i’m getting from different sources it sounds like a big release day tomorrow. Spurrier has a 2-part Crossed:Badlands storyline which starts with tomorrow’s book #19, Synder’s Batman continues tomorrow with his Joker storyline in #15, Walking Dead (which is always welcome) and Clone, I also picked up the Revival TP since Diamond fucked me out of a couple of single issues, Massive #7, Extermination #7…
I’m stoked for tomorrow.
Yeah, I’ve got a huge sub list myself.
I love Wednesdays like this. so much to look forward to. I’m re-reading Snyder’s Batman run again – it’s probably some of the best comics writing I have ever read, generally speaking. the guy is that good. cannot wait to read this new issue and see how Death Of The Family plays out.
Dunno. Having trouble pulling up the list. I’ll likley end up with some of the #2s that were just recently Marvel #1s (since none of them particularly turned me off).
Dennis Hopless has a big week tomorrow, two books!
Not on the list but I did just pick up the final TP of Ennis’ The Boys. Very satisfying conclusion but I’m gonna miss that series.
I picked that up too, and someoner on here mentioned that the conclusion was very anti-climactic.. I didn’t think so at all.
I loved it, but I’ve been a Garth Ennis fanboy since preacher. Crossed though, I don’t know, Ennis is always compelling but I just couldn’t get into it. I will say that Brian K Vaughn’s “Saga” has been nothing short of awesome and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Picked up Skinning The Wolves #1 yesterday. The art was fantastic, but the dialog/story line just wasn’t there. And I don’t mean that I didn’t like or couldn’t connect with the narrative, there was literally was not a lot of words on the page. Pretty to look at though.
