Green and yellow? Ridiculous!
So, Jamie Foxx will be playing Electro in Amazing Spider-Man 2. You know, the guy in the bright green and yellow outfit, with a mask that looks like it’s been cut out of cardboard.
Electro’s a fairly silly villain, but hey, Jamie Foxx can be funny when he wants to. He’s worn a silly costume or two in his day. He could make it work! Well, he’s not going to get the chance. Electro is, of course, getting a “modern”, “grounded” makeover. Here’s what Foxx had to say about his character’s outfit…
“It won’t be green and yellow. It will be a different color. They (the producers) want something for the future. They want to have it more grounded and not as comic book-y, so it won’t be green and yellow. They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms.”
So, another color (black almost certainly) and bolts coming out of his arms huh? Eh, it’ll be fine so long as they keep the cardboard cutout mask. They aren’t keeping the cardboard cutout mask are they? God-dammit.

But with bolts and way more seems.
But if the suit’s rubber, it won’t be grounded. Because well… The joke’s there. Just make it for yourselves. I’m feeling far too lazy to put in any effort.
I was just gonna say, “Heh, ‘grounded.’ ” Kudos to you for putting in slightly more effort than that.
To be fair, you’d have to expect making an electricity-themed villain’s costume properly grounded would be a circuitous process.
Oh well… I’m sure the design will still be sufficiently ohminous.
Wow, he’s so articulate.
Why not just his face but with streaming bolts emanating from his face? They did a decent CGI job with Green Lantern’s outfit.
BLACK IS NOT A COLOR IT IS THE ABSENCE OF COLOR!!! Jesus, how many times do I have to remind people?
