What would the world be like without a constant supply of wacky new Suda 51 games to anticipate/dread? Suda 51 is of course the self-described “punk” developer of games like No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw.
His latest game, Killer is Dead appears to be a spiritual successor to Killer7 (arguably the game Suda is best known for). Capcom owns the rights to Killer7, so Killer is Dead can’t be an actual sequel, but it looks like it’s pretty close.

Yup, that made absolutely no sense, yet was pretty cool looking. Also, the main characters is named Mondo Zappa. It’s a Suda game!

Looks pretty cool.
I’ve only played Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned, but they were both a lot of fun to play and provided plenty of humor and gore. However, I didn’t see much replay value in either of them. So, will I play Killer is Dead? Yes, definitely. But not until I renew my Gamefly subscription, find a used copy online for under twenty bucks, or if it’s eventually one of the games PS+ offers for free somewhere down the line.
I have a weak spot for Suda’s weirdness, and Killer 7 was kind of amazing. His games definitely have a “feel” to them, check out Black Knight.
