Are the folks at Warner Bros. getting cold feet about doing a Justice League movie? So far they’ve seemed pretty gung-ho, but now, according to Variety, they’re talking like they may call the whole thing off if Man of Steel isn’t a success.
“Stakes are high for Man of Steel. Other than Nolan’s Batpics, Warners has not been able to effectively exploit the DC library. A Justice League film wouldn’t likely be in theaters before 2015, as Warner’s top brass has indicated that they are now awaiting the results of Man of Steel, which opens June 14, before moving further ahead.”
So there you have it — you better watch Man of Steel if you want a Justice League flick. Speaking of Man of Steel, it’s got one major thing going for it — the always-adorable Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Hit the jump for the first picture of Adams as Lois…

Not the greatest picture or anything, but still, Amy Adams is infinitely more qualified for the role than Kate Bosworth was. Lois is as important to any Superman movie as Superman himself, so it’s good to see a talented (and have I mentioned adorable?) actress in the role.

I eat up super hero movies like crack (even the bad ones(I’m looking at you wolverine)) so I hope it all works out.
It’s fine. No really It’s fine. I think Lizzy Caplan should be in everything anyways. Amy Adams? Good. Anyone but that squinty charisma vacuum Bosworth. Shit BRIAN Bosworth would’ve made a better Lois Lane than Kate.
She was pretty hot in the rape scene for Straw Dogs.
(I’m not endorsing raping Kate Bosworth)
Is it wrong that I kinda wish Kristen Stewart had been in that remake instead?
See I feel like she just had bad luck.
Funny thing is, Singer’s movie had a PERFECT Lois Lane in it, but playing a different role.
Is that just hair or is that a beret? Is Lois now a hipster? Dangit. Hipsters are this generation’s hippies.
That’s hair. And settle down, her skinny jeans aren’t even in frame.
Whew. One less pack of clove cigarettes in circulation is all I ask.
I just want the DC animation wing to stop making Batman and Superman movies. At this point I’d rather see an animated Aquaman or Plastic Man movie over another Superman flick.
Some continuity between them all would be awesome too. Nothing too big, just little nods here and there. Now that Young Justice is officially canceled, I’d love to see a feature length movie handled by DC’s animation wing.
Batman/Superman Apocalypse picks up at the end of Public Enemies, but otherwise they are all stand-alone. And Young Justice’s demise is disheartening.
I can not muster a moment of concern for a JLA movie, but I’m planning on seeing MoS three times on the 1st day. He’s still a great character when properly handled. I very much dread this thing being bad. I put so much hope in the last one only to be crushed. DC better get this right.
I’ll put in my bi-monthly plug for Henry Cavill as a great actor here. Ha! That was a wonderfully gay sentence.
I’m pro Amy Adams being in movies but I never saw Lois Lane as cute or adorable. And Amy Adams is Corgi puppy level cute and adorable.
Thought the same thing when they announced she was going to play Amy Adams. I always view Lois Lane as being this tall slightly Amazonian woman.
Why does Superman’s suit have to look like it’s made out of Basketball material though?
They wanted to make it grittier didn’t they?
So basically, we all need to stay away so that Warner Bros. can actually take the time to make a better plan when it comes to Justice League?
This idea of “we’ll introduce them all in the team movie first and then they’ll get their individual movies” is just stupid.
Everything is great. Everything is grand. I’ve got the whole, wide world in the palm of my hand.
Life’s a happy song, when you’ve got someone beside to sing along.
