Right in the feels!
Last week Vulture reported on the three-minute highlight reel from season seven of Futurama. It screened at San Francisco Sketchfest, but now we get to see what Vulture was raving about. The reel is below, and it’s filled with awesome, but let’s get to the most important part: Fry’s dog oh my god that dog. If you never saw “Jurassic Bark” then allow us to summarize:

As seen in the reel below, there may have been a happy ending for the good dog after all. I’m still not listening to the song “I Will Wait For You” by Connie Francis ever again. Gah, right in the feels, every time.
The whole cast is back doing silly space things: Fry, Leela, the Professor, Bender, Zoidberg, a second Zoidberg (?), and even a sighting of Fry’s beloved dog. The show is set to return sometime this summer — until then, we can only imagine why Fry has rainbow teeth. (Is it the future’s version of nail art?) [Vulture]
SO EXCITED YOU GUYS.

Futurama > Breaking Bad > Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers > The Rest of Television.
The banner picture seems to be giving off a LOT of dust…
That or it’s made of onion.
My wife and I just watched Jurassic Bark and she hadn’t seen it before. She cried and yelled at me for not warning her. Best reaction since Ned Stark lost his head.
Jurassic Bark and Leela’s Homeworld were both great episodes that really showed how great this show is. I hope this new one will remind us how much heart this show used to have.
Stupid dusty onions! :’(
Anybody else notice that in the Calculon ceremony, the characters were laid out like a panel in Jack Chick’s infamous “Dark Dungeons” tract?
Uh.. yes… of course…
*Loads the tranq gun with anti-geek serum*
It’s too late for me. SAVE YOURSELF.
Yeh, while I did NOT notice this, I did know WHAT you were talking about.
*shoots self with tranq*
*hulks out anyway*
Damn that episode. To this day I can’t bark Walkin on Sunshine without getting all misty.
Thanks a lot Dan, I literally am tearing up while at work after seeing that banner pic. I need to find a beer to chug and then smash the can on my head ASAP.
While I’m happy to take the blame for alcoholism and self-abuse, I didn’t write this one.
Ooops, I think I had a hard time seeing through all of my tears.
I remember the famous last episode for Henry Blake on MASH and how that pissed off audiences who turned in for a comedy. That one didn’t make me sad. Jurrassic Bark made me sad.
Because cartoon dogs are greater than real people.
Fun fact: The most hate mail Troma Pictures has ever received was over the scene in the Toxic Avenger where the seeing-eye dog gets killed. They STILL get angry letters over it.
Yes, god forbid they shoot the dog.
“What’s that? You want to run over a child’s head? But the dog will be ok? Gentlemen, start your engines.”
No matter how this episode goes I will be crying like a baby by the end of it. I just know it.
I hope it’s the first episode. Start the season off with a good cry.
“What do we want?”
‘Fry’s Dog!’
“When do we want it?”
‘Fry’s dog!’
He had wet dog smell. Even when dry.
So…they’re mining their old episodes for plot points? I’ve been majorly disappointed in the relaunch with only one episode doing anything for me (the Hermes and Bender one) and the rest making me angry at their overuse of stock characters.
Jurassic Bark gives me the sad.
/proud caretaker of a very loyal scruffy dog
“Gentlemen, the new office chairs are here!”
Omg, that killed me!
Only two groups of people aren’t in tears at the end of that episode:
1) Maybe people who never had a dog
2) Soulless monsters who don’t know what it’s like to love or be loved
A little from column A, a little from column B.
Hey, cool, another reunion. Did they forget they already did that in Bender’s Big Score?
Right? Seymour had a happy life with LarFry.
“Oh no, it’s another one of Fry’s dogs!”
The reason I can’t listen to Connie Francis’ “I Will Wait For You” is because of the dumb way it ends. Really shoulda just faded out, like it did on Futurama. Makes more sense thematically and musically.
We’re they fighting Cobra?
Oh, and I still have my fingers crossed for more TALES OF INTEREST!!
I named my dog Seymour Asses. He looks exactly like him.
Didn’t they already sort of retcon the story about Fry’s dog in the first movie? Also, while I absolutely love Jurassic Bark, I’m not sure how I feel about them bringing his dog back. The ending montage of that episode was just so sad and beautiful and perfect, I feel like bringing the dog back would sort of cheapen that.
