Peter Dinklage, best known to us all as Tyrion Lannister, has been officially announced as part of the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
Which kind of begs the question… How are they working Alpha Flight into this movie?
OK, OK, so Dinklage might not be playing Puck, or it could just be a cameo as Sentinels stomp the entire team because, let’s face it, it’s Alpha Flight. We’re not exactly talking the first line of defense here: You’d think John Byrne hated Canada considering how ineffective a good chunk of the team was.
That said, there’s certainly no lack of scale in Days of Future Past; in addition to bringing back almost the entire cast of the original movie, Bryan Singer seems to be putting all his ideas for the third X-Men movie he never got to make into the mix.
But we kind of want to see Alpha Flight on screen, if for no other reason than to see who they cast as the rest of the team. Is it too early to start a campaign for Lee Pace as Northstar?

Interesting… Puck seems obvious but the inclusion of Alpha Flight at all seems unnecessary. That said I can’t think of another mutant he could be playing, maybe one of the morlocks? or maybe he’s just a human character?
He could be the voiceover, maybe do the voice of Nimrod or Master Mold.
(Probably not though, I’m totally down with Puck, I just hope that is the case Sasquatch is then played by Jerome Flynn)

If I remember correctly, canon is also that he might be a tripod.
Which makes total sense cause everyone knows Dinklage is hung like a horse
Just because they’re adapting Days of Future Past doesn’t mean they’ll stick to the story. Some producer’s going to want credit for story input. “Hey! There’s a dwarf on one of the mutant teams! THAT PETER DINKLAGE IS SO HOT RIGHT NOW.”
I think Fox has learned its lesson with the X-Men franchise. They desperately want to keep this series after the one-two dickpunch of ‘The Last Stand’ and ‘Origins: Wolverine’. There’s potentially billions to be made, and Singer and Matthew Vaughn are the ones to make it.

So Variety says its not Puck. And that he’s the main Antagonist. I was hoping for Mr Sinister but now my money is on Master Mold.
