Several actors like Christina Hendricks and Gina Carano have expressed an interest in playing Wonder Woman. Another who’s reiterated her interest in the role is Olivia Wilde. While at SXSW to promote The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Olivia Wilde told Geekscape she’d love to play Wonder Woman in the Justice League movie. You can watch her briefly do the iconic wrist cross in the video below.
As much as we like Olivia Wilde, we pictured Wonder Woman as someone who isn’t so incredibly svelte. With that in mind, here are some other Amazonian options we’ve been ruminating on.

Gina Carano is still the only way to go, here. Christina Hendricks has an awesome body and is a great actress, but body substance =/= athleticism.
Yep. I understand the two reasons *why* fanboys want Hendricks in the role, but WW should kick ass first and foremost. Eye candy should be distant second.
Putting Christina Hendricks in the Wonder Woman get up would be equivalent to putting a tarp on a bean bag. Carano for the part.
Hendricks is too gd lumpy to be Wonder Woman. Don’t forget pasty.
Athleticism is crucial, I just dont see Hendricks, awesome beauty that she is, pulling of the stunt work convincingly. Gina Carano would likewise be amazing physically, but I dont think her burgeoning acting skills are up to carrying such a major role.

Here’s the thing that hardly gets brought up: yes, WW needs to be highly attractive. Yes, she needs to look like she can kick ass. But whoever plays also needs KNOW HOW TO ACT.
If they cast a flavor of the month who plays WW with a smirk, or as a sexpot, or just completely weightless, the character looks even more ridiculous. WW is one of those characters that walks a thin line, and a single misstep could create disaster. Look at what happened with Green Lantern.
Pacino in his prime couldn’t have saved that movie. Had nothing to do with Reynolds.

Oh god enough with the Gina Carano and Christina Hendricsk b.s . Gina is a butterface who can’t act and a shown she doesn’t have much fans just a loud minority and Christina Hendricks is nowhere young or atheltic enough to pull it off. The fact that they have nice tits means shit. Wonder Woman barely has a chance anyway and with those two it would be dead for sure

as dumb as this sounds, i think christina hendricks is way to busty and weak looking. i’d love to see her in the outfit but wonder woman needs to kick ass. Carano and Wilde would be great.
