Seen above is a piece of “signature sound effects” art from PowerUpCollage made out of discarded comic books. Orlando, Florida-based Amy Watkins is the artist behind PowerUpCollage, which makes her and Burnsy possibly the only two reasons not to remove Florida Bugs Bunny style just yet.
Watkins makes each collage by hand, outlining each letter with acrylic paint. Examples of her works include the “BLAM” made out of Batman, Catwoman, Batgirl, and Justice League; the “FLOOF” based on one of her favorite Adventure Time episodes; and the “BAMF” tribute to Nightcrawler made out of Wolverine and the X-Men, A vs X, and X-Men Legacy.
