It’s official: the rumors about Karen Gillan is playing Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy are true. Gillan confirmed her casting at film’s Comic-Con panel (video below). They also confirm the rumors that Lee Pace is playing Ronan the Accuser and Benicio del Toro is playing The Collector. The entire cast flew in to San Diego from the London set to do one day of Comic-Con before returning to England. The most dramatic part of the panel was definitely the moment Karen Gillan revealed her new look:
She then threw her wig into the audience, like a boss, to which host Chris Hardwick added, “I do not want to know what’s going to happen to that”.
You might think Amy Pond would be unrecognizable without her signature red hair, but nope. Still gorgeous. And she’s going to play a space pirate. This pleases me.
