Chloe Moretz On Jim Carrey’s ‘Kick-Ass 2’ Snub: ‘It’s A Movie And It’s Fake’

Yesterday we saw a video of the Kick-Ass 2 cast and crew commenting on Jim Carrey refusing to do publicity for Kick-Ass 2 because he couldn’t support the level of violence in the film (bet he cashed the check, though). In that video, Chloe Moretz simply said, “To each their own. It’s his decision. I respect his decision as an actor. He had a change of heart, and that’s his thing.” The Sun just published a much longer interview with Moretz in which she gives more of her opinion, and we can’t say we disagree.

“It’s a movie. If you are going to believe and be affected by an action film, you shouldn’t go to see Pocahontas because you are going to think you are a Disney princess.” Chloe Moretz tells The Sun. Here are a few more choice quotes from the subscription-only article, via The Wrap. “If you are that easily swayed, you might see The Silence of the Lambs and think you are a serial killer. It’s a movie and it’s fake, and I’ve known that since I was a kid. I don’t want to run around trying to kill people and cuss. If anything, these movies teach you what not to do.”

I don’t know. I saw Ace Ventura when I was a kid and I talk out of my ass all the time.
