Jon Stewart: ‘Oh My God, Rick Perry Is Going To Be Our Next President’

OMG The Daily Show is back, you guys! Back from a two-week hiatus. Oh how swell life is when Jon Stewart is around to help us to laugh a bit in between long, hysterical crying sessions over f*cked our country is!

On last night’s show, Stewart opened by playing a montage of clips showing how painfully inept Mitt Romney — arguably the only electable Republican presently in the race who seems the least bit presidential and sane — is on the campaign trail, leading him to come to the ultimate, unfortunate realization that cartoon cowboy Rick Perry may be America’s next president.

Speaking of Rick Perry, did you see how the crowd at last night’s GOP debate erupted into applause when Brian Williams mentioned that he holds the record for most executions by a governor during his time as governor of Texas? If I were advising Perry, I’d tell him to just start campaigning covered in blood while wearing an executioner’s mask. That seems like a solid strategy to win the base!
