Stephen Colbert Likes Spoilers, Bashes Green Lantern

According to a recent study, spoilers tend to actually increase people’s enjoyment of a story, perhaps because it becomes easier to process something cognitively when it’s more familiar or perhaps because we just love having one over on all the other suckers who don’t know Kevin Spacey is Keyser Soze . . . oops. Anyway, Stephen Colbert covered this story during “The Word” section of The Colbert Report last night, and it was magnificent. He finishes with a run down of several movie spoilers and ends with, “I now know that Green Lantern is really about the twelve dollars I’ll never get back.” Wait, that’s what it was about? We thought it was about green space jizz.

Did we give away too many spoilers about the ending of the video? It’s only because we care and want you to enjoy it more, baby. Ain’t we sweet to you?
