The lovely Anna Kendrick dropped by Letterman last night and in the midst of describing what a hopeless dork she is (to Dave’s dismay) she offered up a story how she watched this video on Reddit (Reddit!) over and over again until she learned how to play the cups like a true viral boss.
The cup-playing/singing/talent fest begins at roughly the 1:00 mark and is strong evidence for the case that Anna Kendrick is — in fact — the best. Also, I think the Pitch Perfect movie is somehow linked in here, but my only involvement with that film will be when I pretend I don’t want to see it, get dragged by the ball and chain, and then enjoy it more than I’ll ever admit.

wow, she has a really pretty voice. I like her!
There’s a clip of that new movie thing in which she performs an a cappella version of “No Diggity”. That’s as much of that movie as I ever plan to watch. Also I’m not sure who the hell Anna Kendrick is, exactly.
That was really impressive! Neat trick, and great voice. I only knew her from her not-particularly-interesting turn in Scott Pilgrim, but she’s definitely on my radar now.
Anna Kendrick is the only actress whose “I’m actually a huge nerd!” shtick I truly believe.
