It’s not often that we post clips from The Office around here — the show’s web cultural relevance faded away some time ago — but it still has its moments every now and again. Such is the case here, in the clip embedded above, which has been popping up all over my social media feeds since Friday. And for good reason — it’s pretty freakin’ funny.
Also, as someone who considers himself a practical joke artist from way back, I have to admit envy for never thinking of doing something like this. Well played, Jim Halpert. Well played.

I thought it was the best cold opening in ages. I have stuck with the show even though it has gone way down hill. Since it’s the last season, I am not abandoning it now. But I rarely laugh at it much these days, but this opening scene had me howling.
I believe it was the best opening since the Fire Drill.
I pretty much only laugh at Kevin & Creed now.
They need to do a sitcom cross-over with It’s Always Sunny and have Frank buy the company and have Dennis, Mac, Dee and Charlie work in the office for a day.
